A motorcyclist was killed after he was unable to control his motorbike and veered off the Batticaloa-Valaichchenai road in Kudiyiruppu, police stated.
The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with critical injuries following the incident but later succumbed to them.
The victim was a 29-year-old resident of Bakehouse road in Waradaramulla, the Eravur police reported.
