Two women were hospitalized after being attacked by another woman bearing a knife, the Puttalam police stated. The suspect had kicked the two women before attacking them with the blade.
The two victims, who are residents of Sirambiadiya area in Sinnanagavilluwa in Puttalam, were admitted to the Puttalam hospital following the attack.
The suspect is a neighbor to one of the victims while the suspect had attacked the victim named, Nirosha at her home before attacking the other victim Swineetha who came rushing to the scene having heard the commotion.
The incident had taken place due to an old disagreement, initial investigations revealed while the suspect has yet not been arrested.
The Puttalam police are conducting further investigations.
