Inspections to be conducted on Colombo hotels ahead of CHOGM

The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) will conduct its second phase of inspections on hotels in the Colombo area in the next few days ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Chief Medical Officer of the CMC, Pradeep Kariyawasam stated that all the five-star hotels in Colombo were inspected under the primary phase while the CMC will also focus on other hotels in the area as well.
He said that the inspection was aimed at ensuring the health security of the dignitaries participating in CHOGM.
Kariyawasam also stated that under the second phase, the inspectors will ensure that the hotels are adhering to the regulations and guidelines stipulated by the CMC in the primary phase.
