Several roads to be closed periodically during CHOGM

Several roads in Colombo will be closed from time to time between November 9 and 18 in order to facilitate the travel plans of the international dignitaries attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2013, police stated.

 

The dignitaries will arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayaka and will use the Colombo-Katunayaka expressway to get onto Baseline road, Borella and then onwards to Galle road via Thunmulla.

 

The road will be closed from time to time between November 9 and 15 due to the arrivals of the dignitaries.

 

Several other roads will also be closed between November 9 and 18 while police have listed alternative routes that can be used by the public.
