Man stabbed to death in Kosgoda; suspects flee the area

A man was stabbed to death in the Piyagama area of Hegalla in Kosgoda last night (November 7) at around 10.30pm, police stated.
The victim was stabbed with a sharp instrument after an argument had spiralled out of control outside a shop in the area.
The critically injured victim, who was a 37-year-old resident of the Hegalla area, was admitted to the Balapitiya hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Kosgoda police who are conducting investigations into the murder stated that the two suspects had fled the area following the fatal assault.
