A private bus and a bus transporting a group of garment factory workers collided on the Kegalle-Polgahawela road in Imbulgasdeniya, injuring 23 persons.
All the injured persons were female garment factory workers who have been hospitalised.
Eight of the 23 injured persons were taken to the Polgahawela hospital while the 15 others were rushed to the Kurunegala hospital, police stated.
