UNP to launch inquiry into Muzammil’s participation in CHOGM

The UNP stated that it will launch an inquiry into Colombo Municipal Council Mayor A.J.M. Muzammil’s participation at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake stated that the Mayor had not been informed of the party’s decision to boycott the CHOGM.
He stated that however the party will ask the Mayor to explain his actions.
Ada Derana attempted to contact the Mayor on several occasion but failed to get a response.
