Man sentenced to death over Anamaduwa murder

A man has been sentenced to death by the Puttalam High Court today over the murder of a 35-year-old man, who was clubbed to death in the Walpaluwa area in Anamaduwa.
The victim, a father of one, was abducted and murdered using a club on May 08, 2005.
The man, sentenced to death by Puttalam High Court Judge Priyantha Fernando, was the second suspect in the case while the judge had decided to hear the case without the first suspect, who is absconding.
When the case was taken up today, Judge Priyantha Fernando ruled that the murder charges against the suspects have been proven without the benefit of doubt and sentenced them to death.
