Immigration authorities will deport Sri Lankan born Norwegian Tamil poet and actor V.I.S. Jeyapalan, Govt. Information Department said today. Police arrested Jeyapalan for violating visa regulations, is currently being detained at the Mirihana detention center by immigration officials.
Jeyapalan who had arrived in the country on tourist visa, had violated visa regulations by holding seminars in Jaffna, according to Police.
