Five suspects have been arrested over the gang rape of a 20-year-old mother of one from Sirambiadiya, Puttalam.
The victim, whose husband is employed abroad, had traveled to Palaviya in Puttalam with one of the suspects and had then been gang raped inside a forest in the area.
The arrested suspects are to be produced at the Puttalam District Court while Puttalam Police are conducting further investigations.
