One person died after a motorcycle collided with a lorry on the Wellawaya-Monaragala road today.
Police said the 30-year-old rider of the motorcycle was killed instantly after being hit by the lorry, which was traveling from Wellawaya to Monaragala.
The driver of the lorry has fled after the incident while Wellawaya Police are conducting further investigations.
