Range Bandara will not present himself before leadership council

UNP MP Palitha Range Bandara stated that he will not present himself before the leadership council of the party while claiming that he was only requested to meet UNP MP Karu Jayasuriya this morning (November 27).

 

Speaking to Ada Derana, he said that he was asked today to meet MP Jayasuriya but informed the party that he was unable to do so due to a prior engagement.

 

Meanwhile, MP Ashoka Abeysinghe stated that he will present himself to the leadership council as informed today but does not know the reasons he was summoned.

 

He claimed that the UNP’s decision to appoint a 3-person committee to look into the disciplinary investigations was only going to add to the party’s already increasing problems.
