
The eight fishermen who went missing in the seas North East of Trincomalee were found and rescued by another fishing vessel.
The fishermen and their boats fell victim to harsh weather conditions at sea around 450 nautical miles North East of Trincomalee.
Eight fishermen from the party of 16 which embarked on three vessels named Ceylon 7, Prasangi and Priya Chamil got stranded due to the adverse weather.
The Fisheries Ministry claimed that the rescued fishermen were being brought back to shore.
