Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and former Krrish Group Executive Director and businesswoman Janaki Siriwardena have been further remanded until October 23 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, in connection with an alleged bribery case involving the Krrish Group.

The Magistrate rejected the bail application submitted on behalf of Janaki Siriwardena, said Ada Derana reporter.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama stated that the order on Namal Rajapaksa’s bail application was not ready and would be announced on the next court date.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) arrested the two suspects and produced them before the court over allegations relating to the soliciting and acceptance of a bribe amounting to Rs. 70 million in connection with the company’s affairs.
