Landslide warning extended for several areas in four districts
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has further extended the Level 1 Landslide Warning – Be Vigilant (Yellow) issued for four districts due to prevailing rainy weather conditions.
Accordingly, the warning will remain in effect until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (31).
The NBRO stated that the warnings apply to the following Divisional Secretariat Divisions:
Nuwara Eliya District: Ambagamuwa Korale.
Ratnapura District: Ayagama, Opanayake, Elapatha, Kuruwita, Pelmadulla and Ratnapura.
Kandy District: Udunuwara and Yatinuwara.
Kegalle District: Aranayaka, Yatiyantota, Bulathkohupitiya and Mawanella.
