Sixteen injured after bus topples in Thalathuoya

Sixteen persons were injured and hospitalized after private veered off the road and toppled in Thalathuoya, Kandy last night.
Police said the bus with a group returning from pilgrimage was traveling towards Kurunegala when the accident had taken place at around 7.30pm yesterday.
At least 45 passengers were reportedly onboard the bus at the time of the incident.
The wounded persons have been admitted to the Kandy Hospital, however none of them are in critical condition, hospital sources said.
Thalathuoya Police is conducting an investigation into the accident.
