Train services along the Upcountry railway line were restored at around 11:15 a.m. following a temporary disruption caused by a landslide, railway authorities confirmed.
Services had earlier been restricted to the Nanu Oya–Bandarawela section after a mound of earth and rocks collapsed onto the tracks near the 162/54 milepost, between Bandarawela and Heel Oya.
According to the Railways Department, railway maintenance workers successfully cleared the debris from the tracks, allowing normal train operations to resume.
