A person who defrauded close to Rs 1.5 million, by posing as a coordinating secretary of Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and promising jobs in Thailand, has been arrested in the Kottawa area.
The suspect, who had 24 open warrants issued against him by several courts, was arrested by the Polcei Special Investigations Division.
He was remanded until December 24 after being produced at court.
