Police today unearthed the body of a man who had been murdered and buried in the Urawela area in Balangoda.
Balangoda Police said the victim has been identified as a 65-year-old resident of Urawela.
The suspect who had allegedly committed the murder has been arrested by Rathmalwina Police after he had fled the area.
Balangoda Police are conducting further investigations.
