Police investigating armed robbery in Wennappuwa

Four individuals wearing masks to conceal their identity broke into a house in the Gangoda area in Wennappuwa and robbed Rs 200,000 after threatening the homeowner with a firearm this morning.
The robbery had taken place at around 3.30am today while only a woman had been inside the residence at that time, Ada Derana reporter said.
The four suspects had arrived on two motorcycles and had pointed a pistol at the woman before escaping with the money.
Wennappuwa Police are conducting investigations to apprehend the suspects.
