
Indian Shipping Minister G.K. Vasan on Saturday reiterated his demand that India should never enter into an agreement with Sri Lanka for providing training to the country’s armed forces.
He also expressed hope that a solution to the problem being faced by fishermen of Tamil Nadu would be arrived at a meeting between fishermen of India and Sri Lanka, The Hindu reported.
“The Ministry of the External Affairs is preparing agenda for the meeting slated to be held on January 20,” he said, after inaugurating a free health camp for workers under the Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme at the Chennai Port Trust.
