
The police will take strict measures against three-wheeler drivers and motorcyclists who do not adhere to the motor traffic laws from today, police stated.
Police claimed that traffic congestion and accidents were on the rise due to three wheeler drivers and motorcyclists breaking road rules while the police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana stated that the law will be strictly be implemented against those who break the laws.
Meanwhile, motorcyclists have been requested to switch on their head lamps even while riding in the day time to reduce the number of accidents.
Police stated that if the trial proves successful, measures will be taken to make it compulsory.
