Over 20 homes damaged in estate fire

Over 20 houses have been severely damaged after a fire broke and spread across two rows of houses in the Ramboda Estate in Kotmale, Nuwara Eliya this afternoon.
Measures have been taken to quell the fire with the assistance of the fire brigade and residents of the area, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) said.
Assistant Director of the DMC, Pradeep Kodippili stated that those affected by the fire have been sent to safe locations.
The casue of the fire is yet to be determined while police are conducting further investigations.
