Young couple arrested with heroin

A 22-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have been arrested for the possession of heroin in the Kalutara North area, police said.
The two suspects, Residents of Kalutara North, were arrested according to information received by officers of the Kalutara Division Crime Unit.
Police discovered 2 grams and 39 milligrams of heroin in the woman’s possession and 40 milligrams of the illegal drug was found with the other suspect.
Meanwhile in a separate incident police arrested a woman in Peliyagoda with 10 grams and 30 milligrams of heroin.
The 46-year-old woman, arrested by the Western Province North Crimes Division’s anti-vice squad, is said to be a resident of Colombo 10.
