Bangladesh restricted to 232 in 1st Test

Bangladesh were bowled out for 232 in the first innings of the 1st Test against Sri Lanka in Mirpur today.
Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim departed after a fighting half-century as Sri Lankan pacers ran through the Tigers’ batting to take control on the opening day of the first Test match of the series.
Shaminda Eranga finished with figures of 4/49.
Debutant Shamsur Rahman scored 33 from 34 balls while the other opener -- Tamim Iqbal -- scored 6 off 28 balls, both out caught off Eranga’s bowling.
Marshall Ayub had a rather short stay, as he was dismissed for 1 off 6 balls by Lankan skipper Angelo Matthews.
Mominul was the fourth batsman to depart, as he offered a simple catch to Vithanage off the bowling of Suranga Lakmal.
The Lankans have a nearly flawless record against Bangladesh, when it comes to Test cricket.
Of the 14 matches that the two teams faced, Sri Lanka have won 13 of them.
The only draw took place last year in March at Galle; a match which saw Mushfiqur become the first Bangladeshi to score a double hundred.
