A person has been arrested for the possession of a foreign-manufactured firearm and ammunition in the Katupuliyankulam area in Wanathawilluwa.
The suspect was arrested in a raid by Wanathawilluwa Police, acting on information received, while 17 bullets were also found in his posession.
Wanathawilluwa Police are conducting further investigations.
