Four arrested over Rideegama hotel owner’s murder

The owner of a hotel in Rideegama was killed following a shooting which took place at a party attended by several businessmen in the Muththettugama area on the Kurunegala-Dambulla road last night.
Around 35 local businessmen had attended the social gathering last night.
The victim, Anuruddha Bandara Dissanayake also known as ‘Kalu Malli’, a father of two, was reportedly dumped at a rail track following the shooting which occurred at around 11.00pm yesterday.
He had crawled his way to near the Dambulla Road and managed to stop a three-wheeler which had taken him to the Kurunegala Hospital, Ada Derana reporter said.
However, he had succumbed to injuries shortly after.
Kurunegala Police have arrested suspects in connection with the shooting incident.
