Susamaya Wardana College teachers report sick

All teachers of the Susamaya Wardana College in Borella have reported sick today in protest of a recent assault incident which had taken place within the school premises.
The teachers are protesting a recent incident, where a certain individual had entered the school and assaulted a teacher right in front of the school’s principal, General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Union, Joseph Stalin said.
He said that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has been notified on the matter in writing, however so far no response has been received.
Stalin stated that the individual who had carried out the attack has still not been arrested by police.
