Two men have robbed Rs. 5 million from a van transporting cash to a private leasing company in Matugama. The robbery took place down Agalawatta Road, Matugama at approximately 11.40am and the robbers had fled on a motorcycle, Police said a short while ago.
The cash was being transported from Colombo to Matugama, Police added. Matugama Police will be conducting further inquiries.
