The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has seized around 45,000 kilograms of oranges unsuitable for consumption from a warehouse in Wattala.
The rotten oranges were discovered following a raid carried out by a team of officers from the CAA’s Gampaha Office.
It is said that the oranges were to be distributed to eateries in Pettah and where long-distance buses stop.
