A suspect in custody has died inside a detention cell at the Anuradhapura Police Station.
Police said the 42-year-old man was arrested by officers of the Jaffna Junction police post after he was found passed out in the roadside under the influence of alcohol last night.
The officers had handed him over to the Anuradhapura Police while he had passed away this morning inside a cell.
