Customs officials have arrested a man carrying ten gold nuggets worth over Rs.1.2 million in his rectum at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The gold nuggets weighed 257g, Customs Media Spokesman Leslie Gamini stated while adding that the nuggets were worth Rs. 1,285,000.
The suspect was a 49 year old resident of Colombo who was attempting to board a flight to Chennai, India.
