
Sri Lanka Police today said that the law will be strictly implemented against drivers transporting goods in an unsafe manner, with effect from the 1st of May.
This was revealed during a workshop held at the Traffic Police Headquarters for tipper truck drivers transporting various materials.
The special programme, organized by the Colombo Police Traffic Unit, was attended by tipper truck drivers from across the island.
Traffic Police law enforcement OIC Inspector Sampath Perera, briefing the drivers, stated that a large number of accidents caused by the unsafe transportation of goods are being reported on a daily basis.
Hence, the law will be strictly implemented against drivers transporting goods in an unsafe manner in the future.
