Sri Lanka Navy today arrested 54 persons attempting to sail illegally to Australia during a raid conducted early this morning along the beach stretch of Mullaitivu. Those arrested are being held at the Trincomalee Navy camp, Navy spokesman told Ada Derana.
Navy will conduct initial investigations and hand over those arrested to the harbor police.
