Three Lankans including two females and one male arrested by the Customs at the departure lounge of the BIA while in possession of 24 gold slabs weighing 2.4Kgs valued at Rs. 12 million.
The women aged 62 and 34 and the male aged 37 are reportedly from the Ragama and Kandana areas. According to Sri Lanka Customs the trio had attempted to smuggle the gold to Mumbai by hiding the slabs in their shoes.
