Navy finds helicopter debris off Chalai

Sri Lanka Navy has discovered debris of a helicopter, believed to have crashed several years ago and belonging to the Air Force, in seas east of Chalai.
The discovery was made during a search operation carried out by a team of personnel from the Northern Naval Command using the “Ranajaya” vessel.
It has been reported that the debris of the helicopter have been brought to the Kankesanthurai area.
However, the Navy stated that investigations regarding the discovery will be carried out in co-operation with the Sri Lanka Air Force.
