
The four suspects arrested in connection to the murder of the Peliyagoda Urban Councilor, J. Chamila Sandaruwan, have been remanded until June 16 by the Mahara Magistrate’s Court.
The suspects were produced before Magistrate Darshika Wimalaratne by the Peliyagoda Crimes Unit today.
The 23-year-old UPFA politician shot dead inside his car at Tyre Corporation Junction in Dalugama, Kelaniya on May 12.
The man suspected of carrying out the shooting, the rider of the motorcycle used in it and two persons suspected of aiding the gunman were arrested over the incident.
