Showery weather to continue – Met Dept

Due to an atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka Showery weather is expected over most parts of the island. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times over most parts of the island, Meteorological Department said today.
Heavy falls are also likely (more than 100mm) at some places(particularly in the southwestern parts).
Fairly strong winds can be expected along the western slopes of the Central hills at times. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities.
