Man consumed poison after murdering woman?

The body of a woman, stabbed and murdered using a sharp object, has been discovered in a wooded area on Arugoda Road near the Gampola Hospital this morning.
Police said that a young male who was also found collapsed at the location after allegedly consuming poison has been admitted to the Gampola Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The deceased woman, a 32-year-old resident of Welimada, had been employed at a private nursing firm and had not returned home after leavening for work last night.
Police suspects that she had been murdered while returning home this morning by the individual who had later consumed poison.
He has been identified as a resident of Damana, Divula.
Gampola Police are conducting further investigations.
