A Grade 10 female student has committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train at Walpola in Ragama this afternoon.
The Railway Control Room stated that the girl had jumped in front of a train which had commenced from Colombo Fort at 1.50pm today.
The deceased is a Grade 10 student from a school in Ja-Ela. Her remains have been placed at the Gampaha Hospital mortuary.
