Police bust heroin distribution racket in Balangoda

Police have uncovered information regarding a large scale heroin distribution racket in the Balangoda area following the arrest of three suspects for the possession of heroin in raids carried out within the past two days.

A suspect was arrested with 2 grams and 300 milligrams if heroin in the Balangoda town this morning. He is to be produced at the Balangoda Magistrate’s Court today.

Meanwhile two persons were arrested for the possession of heroin in search operation carried out within the past two days in the area. They have been remanded for 14 days after being produced before court.
