Pope to visit Sri Lanka from Jan 13-15

His Holiness Pope Francis will visit Sri Lanka from January 13 to 15 next year, Bishop of Colombo Rt. Rev. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith confirmed on Monday.

Pope Francis had stated that he will visit Sri Lanka for two days in January 2015, but gave no definite dates and details.

Pope will also visit the Philippines during the trip. Philippine Catholic Church officials have reportedly invited him to visit the Philippines, with a trip to typhoon-devastated Leyte as the highlight of his visit.
