Ranil to make special speech on Aluthgama incident

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe is to deliver a special statement in Parliament tomorrow (17) over the situation which has risen in Aluthgama and Beruwala areas.
In a statement issued today, the United National Party (UNP) stated that a groups of party representatives, including Leadership Council chairman Karu Jayasuriya and General Secretary Tissa Attanayake are scheduled to visit the aforementioned areas to look into the situation and submit a report to the party.
The opposition party accused the government of completely failing to control the tense situation in Aluthgama and Beruwala.
