Two foreigners held with heroin

Two foreign nationals have been arrested by excise officers for the possession of heroin. A Malaysian national and a Maldivian were arrested with 10 grams of heroin last night, the Excise Narcotics Bureau said.
While the Maldivian national had been staying in the county under the pretext of following higher studies the Malaysian’s visa had already expired, it said.
Both suspects have reportedly been remanded until July 17 after being produced before a court.
