At least 15 persons have been hospitalised after a group of tea pluckers were attacked by a swarm of wasps at the Mayfield Estate in Dibulapathana, Hatton this morning.
Police said the incident had taken place at around 9.30am today when the workers had accidentally disturbed a wasp nest.
The injured have been admitted to the Kotagala hospital.
