Ten injured in multi-vehicle crash

At least ten persons were wounded, 4 critically, and hospitalized following a multiple-vehicle collision involving a lorry and two luxury buses in the Mundalama area on the Chilaw-Puttalam road this afternoon.
The injured have been admitted to the Mundalama Hospital while the critical patients have been transferred to Chilaw General Hospital.
Police said a lorry transporting goods from Colombo to Puttalam had been stationery near the Mundalama Hospital while the abrupt stopping had caused two Colombo-Jaffna luxury buses arriving from behind to crash into each other.
A bus driver is said to be among the injured persons.
Mundalama Police traffic unit is conducting further investigations.
