Woman killed, daughter critical following attack

A woman was killed and her daughter critically injured after they were brutally attacked by two men, including the daughter’s husband, wielding sharp objects in the Theppankulama Ela area in Anuradhapura, police said.
The 48-year-old woman and her 28-year-old daughter were walking on the road when they were attacked by the suspects.
Police said it has been revealed that the attack was carried out by the daughter’s husband and another man.
The suspects have not been arrested while Anuradhapura Police are conducting further investigations.
