A 48-year-old man has died after being hit in the head with a rock allegedly by the owner of his rented home in Alubomulla, Piliyandala this morning.
Police said the victim, a father-of-three, was murdered at around 5.00am today over a personal dispute.
Both the victim and the 60-year-old suspect said to be three-wheeler drivers.
He has been taken into custody by police.
