Election violations in Badulla - CaFFE writes to Election Commissioner

Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) has written to the Commissioner of Elections concerning election rallies that held in Badulla district, violating election laws and directives issued by the Commissioner.
“The election monitor kindly urge the Commissioner to take appropriate action to prevent such brazen violations of election law,” the CaFFE issuing in a statement says.
According to the CaFFE, the rallies held by the ruling party after the submission of nomination papers, yesterday, is also a violation of the agreements arrived at the meeting held between the Election Commissioner and the General Secretaries of political parties.
“The CaFFE has as well informed the Senior DIG of the Badulla district, in seek of immediate actions on this regard,” its Executive Director Keerthi Tennakoon said.
