VIDEO: I will sue Gnanasara Thera - Minister Rajitha

Minister Rajitha Senaratne today said that he has sought legal advice to sue Ven. Galaboda Aththe Gnanasara Thera over the abusive statements made against him at a press conference held in Colombo on 6 August.
Minister Senaratne made the observation while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo today morning. The Minister completely denied allegations rose against him. He said that he was never a part of any sort of drug trafficking, as alleged by the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS).
At the time when I discussed this matter with the President he said “Rajitha, you don’t attempt to answer such allegations. Seek legal advice,” the Misnister said.
Minister Senaratne added that under this circumstance, he has decided to sue Gnanasara Thera demanding one billion rupees as compensation. He said that if wins the lawsuit, he will donate the money to the National Fisheries Federation.
The BBS at the press conference said that it would complain to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Bribery Commission, as it possesses enough evidence to prove that the Minister was aiding Muslim extremism and is associating with a Kerala ganja dealer in the Puttalam District.
Minister Senaratne recently had blamed at the BBS and its members and accused them with provoking the violence in Beruwela and Aluthgama.
